XC and TLR

The Last Revel, cross country skiing, and first date anniversary….this weekend had it all.  The ski trails were open and we headed up to the Escanaba Lake Trail. Conditions were beautiful, warm and well groomed trails. We got a start so we didn’t ski long but it still felt good to shuffle and slide.  Darkness fell and we were back at our favorite Minocqua hotel across from the brewery.  The Last Revel was playing a free gig and a one man band, Old American Junk, was opening.  We had seen the Last Revel several times and it was always a good show and this was not disappointing.  The songs came and went and so did we.  Sunday morning meant the Island Café for breakfast and then a trip back home.
