  It was almost noon when Amy suggested we head to DoCo. The coming days were forecasted to be disgusting humid, heat wave, gravy making weather so quick trip to the cooler lake breezes of the peninsula seemed like a good idea.  After last years door county cherry experience we opted to pack our own for the car ride up.  We had no real plan, but headed first for the beach at Peninsula Park and dipped a toe in the lake and watched a young family navigate multiple kids and sandy towels; before heading for the park trails.  We hiked a short distance on Sentinel Trail and took the ramp up the new tower.  Amy overcame her fears, but we still took the stairs down.  Being Sunday we didn't know what time the towns would start closing down and decided to head back to Fish Creek for some shopping and a bite to eat rather than push further north.  As we wandered the streets and boutiques Amy suggested we hit the Whistling Swan for a cherry bourbon smash, and well...
